Mouse anti-Human Complement Factor D (CFD) Monoclonal Antibody | anti-CFD antibody
HRP-Linked Monoclonal Antibody to Complement Factor D (CFD)
IHC: 5-50ug/mL
ICC: 5-50ug/mL
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37 degree C for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate is less than 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the trypsin family of peptidases. The encoded protein is a component of the alternative complement pathway best known for its role in humoral suppression of infectious agents. This protein is also a serine protease that is secreted by adipocytes into the bloodstream. Finally, the encoded protein has a high level of expression in fat, suggesting a role for adipose tissue in immune system biology. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
Uniprot Description
CFD: Factor D cleaves factor B when the latter is complexed with factor C3b, activating the C3bbb complex, which then becomes the C3 convertase of the alternate pathway. Its function is homologous to that of C1s in the classical pathway. Defects in CFD are the cause of complement factor D deficiency (CFDD). CFDD is an immunologic disorder characterized by increased susceptibility to bacterial infections, particularly Neisseria infections, due to a defect in the alternative complement pathway. Belongs to the peptidase S1 family.

Product Notes
The CFD cfd (Catalog #AAA2126209) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The HRP-Linked Monoclonal Antibody to Complement Factor D (CFD) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's Complement Factor D (CFD) can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC), Immunocytochemistry (ICC), Immunoprecipitation (IP). WB: 0.5-5ug/mL IHC: 5-50ug/mL ICC: 5-50ug/mL. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the CFD cfd for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Complement Factor D (CFD), Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
