CD52 (CAMPATH-1) is a 25-29 kDa glycoprotein containing a large N-linked carbohydrate moiety; mature CD52 molecule is actually much smaller (approx. 8-9 kDa). CD52 is expressed at high levels on thymocytes, lymphocytes, monocytes and macrophages; it is also present on epithelial cells lining the male reproductive tract and at variable levels on the majority of lymphoid malignancies.
