Preparation and Storage
Store at 4 degree C or at -20 degree C if preferred. This product should be stored undiluted. Storage in frost-free freezers is not recommended. This product is photosensitive and should be protected from light. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing as this may denature the antibody. Should this product contain a precipitate we recommend microcentrifugation before use.

(Published customer image: AIRE expression in the unreverted R/-; CreERt2 thymic rudiment. 3 -4 months old R/-; CreERt2 mice were injected with 4OHT at the doses shown (A, carrier-only, B, 0.25 mg 4OHT, C, 2 mg 4OHT). Images show immunohistochemical analysis of thymi or thymic rudiments from 4OHT mice 7 weeks post-injection. Staining is shown for AIRE, counterstained for cytokeratin 8 (K8) or CD205 as shown. DAPI reveals nuclei (blue). (A) Top and bottom panels show representative images of AIRE- regions (which comprised the majority of sections), and a rare AIRE+ cell, respectively. (B) Top and middle panels show representative images of AIRE- regions and AIRE+ cells, respectively. Bottom panel shows higher power image of middle panel. Carrier-only and 0.25 mg 4OHT injected mice, n = 2; reverted mice (i.e. injected with =0.5 mg 4OHT), n>3 (shown for 2 mg injected). Related Product Information for anti-CD205 antibody
Rat anti Mouse CD205, clone NLDC-145 recognizes DEC-205, a 205kDa integral membrane glycoprotein expressed by mouse dendritic cells and thymic epithelial cells. It is absent in bone marrow cells, all blood cells and freshly isolated macrophages from the peritoneal cavity. A subpopulation of the latter becomes positive in mice previously stimulated with thioglycollate. It is also absent on follicular dendritic cells of B cell follicles. The antigen is found on la positive interdigitating cells in T cell areas of all secondary lymphoid organs. It is also present on veiled cells. In non-lymphoid organs, the antigen is only found on Langerhans cells of the skin but cross reactions with la positive thymic epithelial cells and intestinal villus epithelial cells are also observed. DEC-205 is expressed at the cell surface of unfixed cells but can also be found in the cytoplasm of fixed cells.

Product Notes

The CD205 ly75 (Catalog #AAA216695) is an Antibody produced from Rat and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. AAA Biotech's CD205 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Flow cytometry (FC/FACS). Flow Cytometry: Use 10ul of the suggested working dilution to label 106 cells in 100ul. The Fc region of monoclonal antibodies may bind non-specifically to cells expressing low affinity Fc receptors. This may be reduced by using SeroBlock FcR Flow Cytometry: Minimum Dilution: Neat; Maximum Dilution: 1/10. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the CD205 ly75 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "CD205, Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
