Related Product Information for anti-BDP1 antibody
The product of this gene is a subunit of the TFIIIB transcription initiation complex, which recruits RNA polymerase III to target promoters in order to initiate transcription. The encoded protein localizes to concentrated aggregates in the nucleus, and is required for transcription from all three types of polymerase III promoters. It is phosphorylated by casein kinase II during mitosis, resulting in its release from chromatin and suppression of polymerase III transcription.[NCBI Entrez Gene Summary]

NCBI Description

The product of this gene is a subunit of the TFIIIB transcription initiation complex, which recruits RNA polymerase III to target promoters in order to initiate transcription. The encoded protein localizes to concentrated aggregates in the nucleus, and is required for transcription from all three types of polymerase III promoters. It is phosphorylated by casein kinase II during mitosis, resulting in its release from chromatin and suppression of polymerase III transcription. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

Uniprot Description

TFNR: General activator of RNA polymerase III transcription. Requires for transcription from all three types of polymerase III promoters. Requires for transcription of genes with internal promoter elements and with promoter elements upstream of the initiation site. 8 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Protein type: Translation

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 5q13

Cellular Component: nucleoplasm; cytoplasm; nucleus

Molecular Function: DNA binding; chromatin binding

Biological Process: transcription from RNA polymerase III promoter; regulation of transcription, DNA-dependent; gene expression

Product Notes

The BDP1 bdp1 (Catalog #AAA120446) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Mouse monoclonal antibody Anti-Human BDP1 reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's BDP1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Dot Blot (DB). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the BDP1 bdp1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "BDP1, Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
