Related Product Information for anti-ATP1B1 antibody
Na,K-ATPase is an integral membrane protein complex that hydrolyzes ATP to maintain the transmembrane gradients of Na+ and K+ found in most mammalian cells. The enzyme is comprised of an alpha and Beta subunit. The á-polypeptide has been shown to be the catalytically active subunit, whereas the Beta-polypeptide is glycosylated and appears to be necessary for the assembly and transport of the sodium pump to the plasma membrane. Na,K-ATPase Beta-1 subunit is expressed, exclusively, in epithelial cells.
Product Categories/Family for anti-ATP1B1 antibody
Uniprot Description
Function: This is the non-catalytic component of the active enzyme, which catalyzes the hydrolysis of ATP coupled with the exchange of Na+ and K+ ions across the plasma membrane. The beta subunit regulates, through assembly of alpha/beta heterodimers, the number of sodium pumps transported to the plasma membrane
Subunit structure: Composed of three subunits: alpha (catalytic), beta and gamma. Interacts with NKAIN1, NKAIN2 and NKAIN4
Subcellular location: Membrane; Single-pass type II membrane protein
Sequence similarities: Belongs to the X(+)/potassium ATPases subunit beta family.
Product Notes
The ATP1B1 atp1b1 (Catalog #
AAA601891) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The ATPase beta 1, Na, K reacts with Porcine, Rabbit, Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's ATPase beta 1, Na, K can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EL/EIA). Suitable for use in Western Blot. Dilution: Western Blot: 1:2500 (ECL). Demonstates a very broad banding pattern, typical of glycosylated proteins, at 35kD. May see multiple bands migrating between 35-55kD. Optimal dilutions to be determined by researcher. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the ATP1B1 atp1b1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.
It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of
"ATPase beta 1, Na, K, Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of
the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always
suggest centrifuging these vials
to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to
opening. Please be advised that
certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an
additional dry ice fee may also be
required.
