Application Notes
Human IgG ELISA Kit employs a two-site sandwich ELISA to quantitate Human IgG in samples. An antibody specific for Human IgG has been pre-coated onto a microplate. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells and any Human IgG present is bound by the immobilized antibody. After removing any unbound substances, HRP-Conjugated anti-human IgG antibody is added to the wells. Following a wash to remove any unbound HRP reagent, a Chromogen solution is added to the wells and color develops in proportion to the amount of Human IgG bound in the initial step. The color development is stopped and the intensity of the color is measured.

Principle of the Assay: Human IgG ELISA Kit employs a two-site sandwich ELISA to quantitate Human IgG in samples. An antibody specific for Human IgG has been pre-coated onto a microplate. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells and any Human IgG present is bound by the immobilized antibody. After removing any unbound substances, a HRP-conjugated antibody specific for Human IgG is added to the wells. After washing, a substrate solution is added to the wells and color develops in proportion to the amount of Human IgG bound in the initial step. The color development is stopped by Stop Solution and the intensity of the color is measured.

Background/Introduction: Immunoglobulin G (IgG) is a multimeric immunoglobulin, built of two heavy chains and two light chains. Each complex has two antigen binding sites. This is the most abundant immunoglobulin and is approximately equally distributed in blood and in tissue liquids, constituting 75% of serum immunoglobulins in humans.

Product Notes

The Human IgG (Catalog #AAA9718949) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA9718949 ELISA Kit recognizes Human IgG. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the IgG for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "IgG, ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
