Related Product Information for anti-ADAMTSL1 antibody
ADAMTSL-1, also known as Punctin, is a secreted glycoprotein resembling members of the ADAMTS family although it lacks the propeptide region and the metalloproteinase and disintegrin-like domains. ADAMTSL-1 is expressed in adult skeletal muscle and may have important functions in the extracellular matrix. Alternative splicing of the ADAMTSL-1 transcript results in three isoforms. Isoform1 is the longest and contains the entire isoform 2. Isoform 3 has the same sequence as isoforms 1 and 2 until residue 361, but a unique C-terminal end of 78 amino acids.

NCBI Description

This gene encodes a secreted protein and member of the ADAMTS (a disintegrin and metalloproteinase with thrombospondin motif) family. This protein lacks the metalloproteinase and disintegrin-like domains, which are typical of the ADAMTS family, but contains other ADAMTS domains, including the thrombospondin type 1 motif. This protein may have important functions in the extracellular matrix. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants encoding distinct proteins. [provided by RefSeq]

Uniprot Description

This protein lacks the metalloproteinase and disintegrin-like domains, which are typical of the ADAMTS family, but contains other ADAMTS domains, including the thrombospondin type 1 motif. This protein may have important functions in the extracellular matrix. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants encoding distinct proteins. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

Product Notes

The ADAMTSL1 adamtsl1 (Catalog #AAA608243) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The ADAMTSL-1 (Punctin, Aggrecanase I, A Disintegrin And Metalloproteinase with ThromboSpondin-3 motif) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's ADAMTSL-1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EL/EIA), Western Blot (WB), Immunoprecipitation (IP). Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot, and Immunoprecipitation. Dilution: ELISA: 0.5-1.0ug/ml Western Blot: 1-2ug/ml Immunoprecipitation: 25ug/ml. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the ADAMTSL1 adamtsl1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "ADAMTSL-1, Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
