Related Product Information for KLHL17 elisa kit
Principle of the Assay||This kit was based on sandwich enzyme-linked immune-sorbent assay technology. Anti-Human KLHL17 antibody was pre-coated onto 96-well plates. And the biotin conjugated anti-Human KLHL17 antibody was used as detection antibodies. The standards, test samples and biotin conjugated detection antibody were added to the wells subsequently, and wash with wash buffer. HRP-Streptavidin was added and unbound conjugates were washed away with wash buffer. TMB substrates were used to visualize HRP enzymatic reaction. TMB was catalyzed by HRP to produce a blue color product that changed into yellow after adding acidic stop solution. The density of yellow is proportional to the Human KLHL17 amount of sample captured in plate. Read the O.D. absorbance at 450nm in a microplate reader, and then the concentration of Human KLHL17 can be calculated.

NCBI Description

The protein encoded by this gene is expressed in neurons of most regions of the brain. It contains an N-terminal BTB domain, which mediates dimerization of the protein, and a C-terminal Kelch domain, which mediates binding to F-actin. This protein may play a key role in the regulation of actin-based neuronal function. [provided by RefSeq, Aug 2010]

Uniprot Description

Actinfilin: Substrate-recognition component of some cullin-RING- based BCR (BTB-CUL3-RBX1) E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase complex. The BCR(KLHL17) mediates the ubiquitination and subsequenct degradation of GLUR6. May play a role in the actin-based neuronal function.

Protein type: Actin-binding; Ubiquitin conjugating system

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 1p36.33

Cellular Component: actin cytoskeleton; cell junction; cell soma; dendrite cytoplasm; extracellular space; postsynaptic density; postsynaptic membrane

Molecular Function: actin filament binding; POZ domain binding; protein complex scaffold; ubiquitin-protein ligase activity

Biological Process: actin cytoskeleton organization and biogenesis; brain development; protein ubiquitination

Product Notes

The Human KLHL17 klhl17 (Catalog #AAA763065) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA763065 ELISA Kit recognizes Human KLHL17. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Kelch-like protein 17, ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
