Inhibin B; Canine Inhibin B ELISA Kit; INHB elisa kit
Ordering
For Research Use Only!
Reactivity
Canine
Specificity
No significant cross-reactivity or interference between Canine INHB and analogues was observed.
Sequence Length
407
Samples
Serum, Plasma, Tissue Homogenate, Feces and Urine
Assay Type
Sandwich
Detection Range
15.6 pg/ml - 500 pg/ml.
Sensitivity
2.0 pg/ml.
Intended Uses
This Quantitative Sandwich ELISA kit is only for in vitro research use only, not for drug, household, therapeutic applications! It is intended to be determinated INHB concentrations in Canine serum, plasma and other body fluids. Using Purified Canine INHB antibody to coat Microelisa Stripplate wells to make solid-phase antibody, then add INHB and INHB antibody which has been labeled with HRP to wells, then the reactants become antibody-antigen-antibody-enzyme complex, after washing completely, add TMB substrate solution, TMB substrate becomes blue color under HRP enzyme-catalyzed, reaction is terminated by the addition of a sulphuric acid solution and the color change is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450 nm. The concentration of INHB in the samples is then determined by comparing the O.D. of the samples to the standard curve.
Intra-assay Precision
Intra-assay CV (%) is less than 15%.
Inter-assay Precision
Inter-assay CV (%) is less than 15%. [CV(%) = SD/mean ×100]
Preparation and Storage
Store all reagents at 2-8 degree C

NCBI Description

The inhibin beta B subunit joins the alpha subunit to form a pituitary FSH secretion inhibitor. Inhibin has been shown to regulate gonadal stromal cell proliferation negatively and to have tumour-suppressor activity. In addition, serum levels of inhibin have been shown to reflect the size of granulosa-cell tumors and can therefore be used as a marker for primary as well as recurrent disease. Because expression in gonadal and various extragonadal tissues may vary severalfold in a tissue-specific fashion, it is proposed that inhibin may be both a growth/differentiation factor and a hormone. Furthermore, the beta B subunit forms a homodimer, activin B, and also joins with the beta A subunit to form a heterodimer, activin AB, both of which stimulate FSH secretion. Uniprot Description

INHBB: Inhibins and activins inhibit and activate, respectively, the secretion of follitropin by the pituitary gland. Inhibins/activins are involved in regulating a number of diverse functions such as hypothalamic and pituitary hormone secretion, gonadal hormone secretion, germ cell development and maturation, erythroid differentiation, insulin secretion, nerve cell survival, embryonic axial development or bone growth, depending on their subunit composition. Inhibins appear to oppose the functions of activins. Belongs to the TGF-beta family.

Product Notes

The Canine INHB inhbb (Catalog #AAA029204) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA029204 ELISA Kit recognizes Canine INHB. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Inhibin B, ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
