Related Product Information for TREH elisa kit
Intended Uses: The kit is a sandwich enzyme immunoassay for the in vitro quantitative measurement of TREH in human serum, plasma, tissue homogenates or other biological fluids.

Principle of the Assay: The microtiter plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to TREH. Standards or samples are then added to the appropriate microtiter plate wells with a biotin-conjugated antibody preparation specific to TREH. Next, Avidin conjugated to Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to each microplate well and incubated. After TMB substrate solution is added, only those wells that contain TREH, biotin-conjugated antibody and enzyme-conjugated Avidin will exhibit a change in color. The enzyme-substrate reaction is terminated by the addition of sulphuric acid solution and the color change is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450nm +/- 10nm. The concentration of TREH in the samples is then determined by comparing the O.D. of the samples to the standard curve.

NCBI Description

This gene encodes an enzyme that hydrolyses trehalose, a disaccharide formed from two glucose molecules found mainly in fungi, plants, and insects. A partial duplication of this gene is located adjacent to this locus on chromosome 11. Two transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2014]

Uniprot Description

Intestinal trehalase is probably involved in the hydrolysis of ingested trehalose.

Product Notes

The Human TREH treh (Catalog #AAA457211) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA457211 ELISA Kit recognizes Human TREH. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Trehalase (TREH), ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
