Preparation and Storage
The stability of kit is determined by the loss rate of activity. The loss rate of this kit is less than 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
To minimize extra influence on the performance, operation procedures and lab conditions, especially room temperature, air humidity, incubator temperature should be strictly controlled. It is also strongly suggested that the whole assay is performed by the same operator from the beginning to the end.

Related Product Information for TREH elisa kit
The test principle applied in this kit is Sandwich enzyme immunoassay. The microtiter plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to Trehalase (TREH). Standards or samples are then added to the appropriate microtiter plate wells with a biotin-conjugated antibody specific to Trehalase (TREH). Next, Avidin conjugated to Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to each microplate well and incubated. After TMB substrate solution is added, only those wells that contain Trehalase (TREH), biotin-conjugated antibody and enzyme-conjugated Avidin will exhibit a change in color. The enzyme-substrate reaction is terminated by the addition of sulphuric acid solution and the color change is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450nm ± 10nm. The concentration of Trehalase (TREH) in the samples is then determined by comparing the O.D. of the samples to the standard curve.

NCBI Description

This gene belongs to the alpha-glucosidase family, whose members encode enzymes that carry out hydrolysis of alpha-glucoside bonds of a variety of carbohydrates. The enzyme encoded by this gene uses the disaccharide trehalose as a highly specific substrate and converts it into two glucose molecules. Alternative splicing of this gene results in multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms. [provided by RefSeq, Apr 2013]

Uniprot Description

TREH: Intestinal trehalase is probably involved in the hydrolysis of ingested trehalose. Deficiency of TREH results in isolated trehalose intolerance that causes gastrointestinal symptoms after ingestion of edible mushrooms. Belongs to the glycosyl hydrolase 37 family. 2 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Protein type: Hydrolase; EC 3.2.1.28; Carbohydrate Metabolism - starch and sucrose; Membrane protein, GPI anchor

Cellular Component: membrane; plasma membrane; brush border

Molecular Function: hydrolase activity; hydrolase activity, acting on glycosyl bonds; alpha,alpha-trehalase activity; catalytic activity

Biological Process: organ morphogenesis; metabolic process; trehalose metabolic process

Product Notes

The Mouse TREH treh (Catalog #AAA2023889) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA2023889 ELISA Kit recognizes Mouse TREH. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Trehalase (TREH), ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
