Human Transient Receptor Potential Cation Channel Subfamily V Member 1 (TrpV1) ELISA Kit | TRPV1 elisa kit
Human Transient Receptor Potential Cation Channel Subfamily V Member 1 (TrpV1) ELISA Kit
* Allow all reagents to warm to room temperature for at least 30 minutes before opening.
* Pre-rinse the pipet tip with reagent, use fresh pipet tips for each sample, standard and reagent to avoid contamination.
* Unused wells must be kept desiccated at 4 degree C in the sealed bag provided.
* Mix Thoroughly is very important for the result. It is recommended using low frequency oscillator or slight hand shaking every 10 minutes.
* It is recommended that all samples and standards be assayed in duplicate or triplicate.
Background: TRPV1 is a nonselective cation channel that may be activated by a wide variety of exogenous and endogenous physical and chemical stimuli. The best-known activators of TRPV1 are heat greater than 43 degree C and capsaicin, the pungent compound in hot chili peppers. The activation of TRPV1 leads to painful, burning sensation. Its endogenous activators include: low pH, the endocannabinoid anandamide, N-arachidonoyl-dopamine. TRPV1 receptors are found mainly in the nociceptive neurons of the peripheral nervous system, but they have also been described in many other tissues, including the central nervous system. TRPV1 is involved in the transmission and modulation of pain, as well as the integration of diverse painful stimuli.
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
Capsaicin, the main pungent ingredient in hot chili peppers, elicits a sensation of burning pain by selectively activating sensory neurons that convey information about noxious stimuli to the central nervous system. The protein encoded by this gene is a receptor for capsaicin and is a non-selective cation channel that is structurally related to members of the TRP family of ion channels. This receptor is also activated by increases in temperature in the noxious range, suggesting that it functions as a transducer of painful thermal stimuli in vivo. Four transcript variants encoding the same protein, but with different 5' UTR sequence, have been described for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
Uniprot Description

Product Notes
The Human TRPV1 trpv1 (Catalog #AAA9713796) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA9713796 ELISA Kit recognizes Human TRPV1. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Transient Receptor Potential Cation Channel Subfamily V Member 1 (TrpV1), ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
