Usage Notes
* Do not mix components from different kit lots or use reagents beyond the kit expiration date.
* Allow all reagents to warm to room temperature for at least 30 minutes before opening.
* Pre-rinse the pipet tip with reagent, use fresh pipet tips for each sample, standard and reagent to avoid contamination.
* Unused wells must be kept desiccated at 4 degree C in the sealed bag provided.
* Mix Thoroughly is very important for the result. It is recommended using low frequency oscillator or slight hand shaking every 10 minutes.
* It is recommended that all samples and standards be assayed in duplicate or triplicate.
Preparation and Storage
Store at 2-8 degree C.

Related Product Information for MYF5 elisa kit
Description: This Human Myogenic factor 5 (MYF5) ELISA Kit employs a two-site sandwich ELISA to quantitate MYF5 in samples. An antibody specific for MYF5 has been pre-coated onto a microplate. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells and any MYF5 present is bound by the immobilized antibody. After removing any unbound substances, a biotin-conjugated antibody specific for MYF5 is added to the wells. After washing, Streptavidin conjugated Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to the wells. Following a wash to remove any unbound avidin-enzyme reagent, a substrate solution is added to the wells and color develops in proportion to the amount of MYF5 bound in the initial step. The color development is stopped and the intensity of the color is measured.

Background: MYF5 (Myogenic Factor 5) is a Protein Coding gene. Diseases associated with MYF5 include Rhabdomyosarcoma and Skeletal Muscle Cancer. Among its related pathways are Transcriptional Regulatory Network in Embryonic Stem Cell and CDO in myogenesis. GO annotations related to this gene include sequence-specific DNA binding and RNA polymerase II core promoter proximal region sequence-specific DNA binding. An important paralog of this gene is MYOD1. Acts as a transcriptional activator that promotes transcription of muscle-specific target genes and plays a role in muscle differentiation. Together with MYOG and MYOD1, co-occupies muscle-specific gene promoter core region during myogenesis. Induces fibroblasts to differentiate into myoblasts. Probable sequence specific DNA-binding protein.

Product Notes

The Human MYF5 myf5 (Catalog #AAA9715112) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA9715112 ELISA Kit recognizes Human MYF5. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Myogenic Factor 5 (MYF5), ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
