Usage Notes
* Do not mix components from different kit lots or use reagents beyond the kit expiration date.
* Allow all reagents to warm to room temperature for at least 30 minutes before opening.
* Pre-rinse the pipet tip with reagent, use fresh pipet tips for each sample, standard and reagent to avoid contamination.
* Unused wells must be kept desiccated at 4 degree C in the sealed bag provided.
* Mix Thoroughly is very important for the result. It is recommended using low frequency oscillator or slight hand shaking every 10 minutes.
* It is recommended that all samples and standards be assayed in duplicate or triplicate.
Preparation and Storage
Store at 2-8 degree C.

Related Product Information for MATK elisa kit
Description: This Human Megakaryocyte-associated tyrosine-protein kinase (MATK) ELISA Kit employs a two-site sandwich ELISA to quantitate MATK in samples. An antibody specific for MATK has been pre-coated onto a microplate. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells and any MATK present is bound by the immobilized antibody. After removing any unbound substances, a biotin-conjugated antibody specific for MATK is added to the wells. After washing, Streptavidin conjugated Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to the wells. Following a wash to remove any unbound avidin-enzyme reagent, a substrate solution is added to the wells and color develops in proportion to the amount of MATK bound in the initial step. The color development is stopped and the intensity of the color is measured.

Background: MATKis an enzyme has amino acid sequence similarity to Csk tyrosine kinase and has the structural features of the CSK subfamily: SRC homology SH2 and SH3 domains, a catalytic domain, a unique N terminus, lack of myristylation signals, lack of a negative regulatory phosphorylation site, and lack of an autophosphorylation site. This protein is thought to play a significant role in the signal transduction of hematopoietic cells. It is able to phosphorylate and inactivate Src family kinases, and may play an inhibitory role in the control of T-cell proliferation. This protein might be involved in signaling in some cases of breast cancer. Three alternatively spliced transcript variants that encode different isoforms have been described for this gene.

Uniprot Description

CTK: a non-receptor tyrosine kinase. Could play a significant role in the signal transduction of hematopoietic cells. May regulate tyrosine kinase activity of SRC-family members in brain by specifically phosphorylating their C-terminal regulatory tyrosine residue which acts as a negative regulatory site. It may play an inhibitory role in the control of T-cell proliferation. Expressed in cancerous but not normal breast tissue; interacts with activated ERBB2 receptor and is likely to inhibit proliferation.

Product Notes

The Human MATK matk (Catalog #AAA9715376) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA9715376 ELISA Kit recognizes Human MATK. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Megakaryocyte-Associated Tyrosine-Protein Kinase (MATK), ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
