Intended Uses: This sandwich kit is for the accurate quantitative detection of human Immunoglobulin E (also known as IgE) in serum, plasma, cell culture supernates, cell lysates, tissue homogenates.

Principle of the Assay: This kit is an Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA). The plate has been pre-coated with human IgE antibody. IgE present in the sample is added and binds to antibodies coated on the wells. And then biotinylated human IgE Antibody is added and binds to IgE in the sample. Then Streptavidin-HRP is added and binds to the Biotinylated IgE antibody. After incubation unbound Streptavidin-HRP is washed away during a washing step. Substrate solution is then added and color develops in proportion to the amount of human IgE. The reaction is terminated by addition of acidic stop solution and absorbance is measured at 450 nm.

Uniprot Description

Produces nitric oxide (NO) which is a messenger molecule with diverse functions throughout the body. In macrophages, NO mediates tumoricidal and bactericidal actions. Also has nitrosylase activity and mediates cysteine S-nitrosylation of cytoplasmic target proteins such PTGS2/COX2. As component of the iNOS-S100A8/9 transnitrosylase complex involved in the selective inflammatory stimulus-dependent S-nitrosylation of GAPDH implicated in regulation of the GAIT complex activity and probably multiple targets including ANXA5, EZR, MSN and VIM. Involved in inflammation, enhances the synthesis of proinflammatory mediators such as IL6 and IL8.
