Human Glucagon-like peptide 1 receptor (GLP1R) ELISA Kit | GLP1R elisa kit
Human Glucagon-like peptide 1 receptor (GLP1R) ELISA Kit
Principles of the Assay: This kit is an Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA). The plate has been pre-coated with human GLP1R antibody. GLP1R present in the sample is added and binds to antibodies coated on the wells. And then biotinylated human GLP1R Antibody is added and binds to GLP1R in the sample. Then Streptavidin-HRP is added and binds to the Biotinylated GLP1R antibody. After incubation unbound Streptavidin-HRP is washed away during a washing step. Substrate solution is then added and color develops in proportion to the amount of human GLP1R. The reaction is terminated by addition of acidic stop solution and absorbance is measured at 450 nm.
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
This gene encodes a 7-transmembrane protein that functions as a receptor for glucagon-like peptide 1 (GLP-1) hormone, which stimulates glucose-induced insulin secretion. This receptor, which functions at the cell surface, becomes internalized in response to GLP-1 and GLP-1 analogs, and it plays an important role in the signaling cascades leading to insulin secretion. It also displays neuroprotective effects in animal models. Polymorphisms in this gene are associated with diabetes. The protein is an important drug target for the treatment of type 2 diabetes and stroke. Alternative splicing of this gene results in multiple transcript variants. [provided by RefSeq, Apr 2016]
Uniprot Description
G-protein coupled receptor for glucagon-like peptide 1 (GLP-1) (PubMed:8405712, PubMed:8216285, PubMed:7517895, PubMed:19861722, PubMed:26308095, PubMed:27196125, PubMed:28514449). Ligand binding triggers activation of a signaling cascade that leads to the activation of adenylyl cyclase and increased intracellular cAMP levels (PubMed:8405712, PubMed:8216285, PubMed:7517895, PubMed:19861722, PubMed:26308095, PubMed:27196125, PubMed:28514449). Plays a role in regulating insulin secretion in response to GLP-1 ().

Product Notes
The Human GLP1R glp1r (Catalog #AAA165374) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA165374 ELISA Kit recognizes Human GLP1R. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Glucagon-like peptide 1 receptor (GLP1R), ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
