Human Extracellular Sulfatase Sulf-2 (SULF2) ELISA Kit | SULF2 elisa kit
Human Extracellular Sulfatase Sulf-2 (SULF2) ELISA Kit
* Allow all reagents to warm to room temperature for at least 30 minutes before opening.
* Pre-rinse the pipet tip with reagent, use fresh pipet tips for each sample, standard and reagent to avoid contamination.
* Unused wells must be kept desiccated at 4 degree C in the sealed bag provided.
* Mix Thoroughly is very important for the result. It is recommended using low frequency oscillator or slight hand shaking every 10 minutes.
* It is recommended that all samples and standards be assayed in duplicate or triplicate.
Background: Sulfatase 2contains an N-terminal signal sequence, followed by a sulfatase domain, a hydrophilic region, and a C-terminal substrate recognition domain.SULF2 shares about 64% identity with SULF1 and 94% identity with mouse Sulf2. PCR detected SULF2 expression in most human tissues examined, with highest levels in ovary, skeletal muscle, stomach, brain, uterus, heart, kidney, and placenta. Western blot analysis of transfected Chinese hamster ovary (CHO) cells and culture medium detected SULF2 proteins with apparent molecular masses of 132, 64, and 60 kD in the culture medium. Treatment with furin inhibitors resulted in a single 132-kD species, and treatment with N-glycanase reduced the molecular mass from 132 kD to 100 kD.
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
Heparan sulfate proteoglycans (HSPGs) act as coreceptors for numerous heparin-binding growth factors and cytokines and are involved in cell signaling. Heparan sulfate 6-O-endosulfatases, such as SULF2, selectively remove 6-O-sulfate groups from heparan sulfate. This activity modulates the effects of heparan sulfate by altering binding sites for signaling molecules (Dai et al., 2005 [PubMed 16192265]).[supplied by OMIM, Mar 2008]
Uniprot Description
SULF2: Exhibits arylsulfatase activity and highly specific endoglucosamine-6-sulfatase activity. It can remove sulfate from the C-6 position of glucosamine within specific subregions of intact heparin. Belongs to the sulfatase family. 2 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Product Notes
The Human SULF2 sulf2 (Catalog #AAA9714067) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA9714067 ELISA Kit recognizes Human SULF2. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Extracellular Sulfatase Sulf-2 (SULF2), ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
