Specificity
This assay has high sensitivity and excellent specificity for detection of CDC2L5. No significant cross-reactivity or interference between CDC2L5 and analogues was observed. NOTE: Limited by current skills and knowledge, it is impossible for us to complete the cross-reactivity detection between CDC2L5 and all the analogues, therefore, cross reaction may still exist in some cases.

Intended Uses: This CDC2L5 ELISA kit is a 1.5 hour solid-phase ELISA designed for the quantitative determination of Human CDC2L5. This ELISA kit for research use only, not for therapeutic or test applications!

Principle of the Assay: CDC2L5 ELISA kit applies the competitive enzyme immunoassay technique utilizing an anti-CDC2L5 antibody and an CDC2L5-HRP conjugate. The assay sample and buffer are incubated together with CDC2L5-HRP conjugate in pre-coated plate for one hour. After the incubation period, the wells are decanted and washed five times. The wells are then incubated with a substrate for HRP enzyme. The product of the enzyme-substrate reaction forms a blue colored complex. Finally, a stop solution is added to stop the reaction, which will then turn the solution yellow. The intensity of color is measured spectrophotometrically at 450nm in a microplate reader. The intensity of the color is inversely proportional to the CDC2L5 concentration since CDC2L5 from samples and CDC2L5-HRP conjugate compete for the anti-CDC2L5 antibody binding site. Since the number of sites is limited, as more sites are occupied by CDC2L5 from the sample, fewer sites are left to bind CDC2L5-HRP conjugate. A standard curve is plotted relating the intensity of the color (O.D.) to the concentration of standards. The CDC2L5 concentration in each sample is interpolated from this standard curve.

NCBI Description

The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the cyclin-dependent serine/threonine protein kinase family. Members of this family are well known for their essential roles as master switches in cell cycle control. The exact function of this protein has not yet been determined, but it may play a role in mRNA processing and may be involved in regulation of hematopoiesis. Alternatively spliced transcript variants have been described.[provided by RefSeq, Dec 2009]

Uniprot Description

CDK13: a CMGC protein kinase of the CDK family. It has been reported to interact with L-type cyclins. Overexpression of CDC2L5 constructs disturbs constitutive splicing and switches alternative splice site selection in vivo suggesting that it may regulate alternative splicing. It has unusually large N- and C-termini and is ubiquitously expressed in many tissues. Two alternatively spliced human isoforms have been described.

Protein type: Protein kinase, CMGC; EC 2.7.11.23; Cell cycle regulation; EC 2.7.11.22; Protein kinase, Ser/Thr (non-receptor); Kinase, protein; Motility/polarity/chemotaxis; RNA splicing; CMGC group; CDK family; CRK7 subfamily; CDK/CRK7 subfamily

Product Notes

The Human CDC2L5 cdk13 (Catalog #AAA7206250) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA7206250 ELISA Kit recognizes Human CDC2L5. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Cyclin dependent kinase 13 (CDC2L5), ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
