Aspartate Aminotransferase (AST) Recombinant Protein | AST recombinant protein
Recombinant Aspartate Aminotransferase (AST)
Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles.
Store at 2-8 degree C for one month.
Aliquot and store at -80 degree C for 12 months.
Stability Test:
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37 degree C for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate is less than 5% within the expiration dateunder appropriate storage condition.
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
Accurate Molecular Mass: 44kDa as determined by SDS-PAGE reducing conditions.
NCBI Description
Glutamic-oxaloacetic transaminase is a pyridoxal phosphate-dependent enzyme which exists in cytoplasmic and mitochondrial forms, GOT1 and GOT2, respectively. GOT plays a role in amino acid metabolism and the urea and tricarboxylic acid cycles. The two enzymes are homodimeric and show close homology. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
Uniprot Description
GOT1: Plays a key role in amino acid metabolism. Belongs to the class-I pyridoxal-phosphate-dependent aminotransferase family.

It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Aspartate Aminotransferase (AST), Recombinant Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
