GMFB; GMF-beta; Recombinant Human Glia Maturation Factor Beta (GMFB); GMFB recombinant protein
Ordering
For Research Use Only!
Host
E Coli
Form/Format
Recombinant GMFB was lyophilized from a 0.2 um filtered 20mM PB,130mM NaCl solution pH7.5.
Applicable Applications for GMFB recombinant protein
Cell Assay
Species
Human
Endotoxin Level
<1.0EU/ug of recombinant protein as determined by the LAL method
Reconstitution
A quick spin of the vial followed by reconstitution in distilled water to a concentration not less than 0.1mg/ml. This solution can then be diluted into other buffers.
Preparation and Storage
The lyophilized protein is stable for at least one year from date of receipt at -70 degree C. Upon reconstitution, this cytokine can be stored in working aliquots at 2 degree -8 degree C for one month, or at -20 degree C for six months, with a carrier protein without detectable loss of activity. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles.

Related Product Information for GMFB recombinant protein
Recombinant Human GMFB was expressed in E Coli cells. The protein accession number is P60983
GMF-beta is a 17-kDa brain-specific protein that was isolated from bovine brain homogenate as a substance inducing the maturation of normal neurons as well as glial cells, and at first, it was considered to be a neurotrophic factor. The amino acid sequence of GMFB is highly conserved among many species, suggesting that it plays basic roles across many species. The expression of GMF-b is largely limited to the brain, especially the glial cells and some neurons. Schwann cells of the distal segment of the transected nerve express GMF-b, and this induction of GMF-b coincides with the temporal expression of nerve growth factor receptors in the cell.

Product Notes

The GMFB gmfb (Catalog #AAA517035) is a Recombinant Protein produced from E Coli and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. AAA Biotech's GMFB can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Cell Assay. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the GMFB gmfb for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "GMFB, Recombinant Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
