Related Product Information for CD32 / FCGR2B recombinant protein
Background: Receptors for Fc portion of IgG (Fcgamma Rs) are members of the Ig superfamily, and are divided into three classes designated Fcgamma RI (CD64), Fcgamma RII (CD32), and Fcgamma RIII (CD16). CD32 protein is a low affinity receptor for IgG that binds only IgG immune complexes and is expressed on a diverse range of cells such as monocytes, macrophages, neutrophils, eosinophils, platelets, and B cells. Human CD32 class is encoded by three closely related genes, and designated Fcgamma RII A, B, and C which share 94-99% amino acid identity in their extracellular domains but differ substantially in their transmembrane and cytoplasmic domains. CD32 is involved in a number of immune responses including antibody-dependent cell-mediated cytotoxicity, clearance of immune complexes, release of inflammatory mediators, and regulation of antibody production.

Description: A DNA sequence encoding the extracellular domain (Met 1-Arg 217) of mouse FGGR2B (NP_001070657.1) as fused with a c-terminal polyhistidine tagged AVI tag at the C-terminus. The expressed protein was biotinylated in vivo by the Biotin-Protein ligase (BirA enzyme) which is co-expressed.

Uniprot Description

FCGR2B: a transmembrane receptor for the Fc region of complexed or aggregated immunoglobulin gamma (IgG). Involved in a variety of effector and regulatory functions such as phagocytosis of immune complexes and modulation of antibody production by B-cells. Binding to this receptor results in down modulation of previous state of cell activation triggered via antigen receptors on B cells, T cells or via another Fc receptor. Three splice-variant isoforms have been observed.

Product Notes

The CD32 / FCGR2B fcgr2 (Catalog #AAA2547197) is a Recombinant Protein produced from Human Cells and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The secreted recombinant mouse FGGR2B consists of 212 amino acids and has a predicted molecular mass of 23.9 kDa. In SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, the apparent molecular mass of rm FGGR2B is approximately 38-43 kDa due to glycosylation. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the CD32 / FCGR2B fcgr2 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "CD32 / FCGR2B, Recombinant Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
