• Materials Provided: 1. Capture Antibody 1.0 mg/mL of rabbit anti-ADAM15 monoclonal antibody (in PBS, pH 7.4). Dilute to a working concentration of 2ug/mL in CBS before coating. ; 2. Detection Antibody 0.5 mg/mL rabbit anti-ADAM15 monoclonal antibodyconjugated to horseradish-peroxidase (HRP) (in PBS, 50 % glycerol, pH 7.4). Dilute to working concentration of 0.5ug/mL in detection antibody dilution buffer before use. ; 3. Standard Each vial contains 96 ng of recombinant ADAM15. Reconstitute with 1 mL detection antibody dilution buffer. After reconstitution, store at -20 degree C to -80 degree C in a manual defrost freezer. A seven-point standard curve using 2-fold serial dilutions in sample dilution buffer, and a high standard of 3ng/mL is recommended.

ADAM15, also known as Metargidin, is a type I transmembrane glycoprotein belonging to the ADAM (A Disintegrin and Metalloprotease Domain) family of proteins and is widely expressed in different tissues and cell types. Members of this family contain an amino-terminal metalloprotease domain followed by a disintegrin domain, a cysteine-rich region and a membrane proximal EGF-like domain. The disintegrin domain of ADAM15/metargidin contains an RGD tripeptide sequence, suggesting that it may potentially interact with the integrin family of proteins. ADAM15 is a transmembrane multi-domain proteins implicated in proteolysis, cell-cell and cell-matrix interactions in various disease conditions. There is also evidence supporting a role for ADAM15 in angiogenesis and angioinvasion of tumor cells, which are critical for unrestrained tumor growth and metastatic spread.
