Related Product Information for PLGF-1 active protein
PLGF-1 is an angiogenic factor that belongs to the cysteine-knot superfamily of growth factors. PLGF-1 is expressed in placental tissues, colon and mammary carcinomas. It signals through the VEGFR-1/FLT1 receptor and stimulates endothelial cell proliferation and migration. Recombinant human PLGF-1 is a 29.7 kDa disulfide-linked homodimeric protein of two 132 amino acid polypeptide chains.

Uniprot Description

PGF: Growth factor active in angiogenesis and endothelial cell growth, stimulating their proliferation and migration. It binds to the receptor FLT1/VEGFR-1. Isoform PlGF-2 binds NRP1/neuropilin-1 and NRP2/neuropilin-2 in a heparin-dependent manner. Also promotes cell tumor growth. Belongs to the PDGF/VEGF growth factor family. 3 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Product Notes

The PLGF-1 pgf (Catalog #AAA696135) is an Active Protein produced from E Coli and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The amino acid sequence is listed below: MLPAVPPQQ WALSAGNGS SEVEVVPFQ EVWGRSYCR ALERLVDVV SEYPSEVEH MFSPSCVSL LRCTGCCGD ENLHCVPVE TANVTMQLL KIRSGDRPS YVELTFSQH VRCECRPLR EKMKPERCG DAVPRR. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "PLGF-1, Active Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
