NCBI Description

The pattern of cellular proliferation and differentiation that leads to normal development of embryonic structures often depends upon the localized production of secreted protein signals. Cells surrounding the source of a particular signal respond in a graded manner according to the effective concentration of the signal, and this response produces the pattern of cell types constituting the mature structure. A segment-polarity gene known as dispatched has been identified in Drosophila and its protein product is required for normal Hedgehog (Hh) signaling. This gene is one of two human homologs of Drosophila dispatched. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

Product Notes

The DISP2 disp2 (Catalog #AAA153195) is a Blocking Peptide and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. AAA Biotech's DISP3 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Blocking (BL). DISP2 peptide is used for blocking the activity of DISP3 antibody. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the DISP2 disp2 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "DISP3, Blocking Peptide" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
