Related Product Information for CXCL3 recombinant protein
Background: CXCL3 is involved in migration, invasion, proliferation and tubule formation of trophoblasts and may play a key role in the pathogenesis of preeclampsia. CXCL3 autocrine/paracrine pathways are involved in the development of prostate cancer by regulating the expression of the target genes that are related to the progression of malignancies. CXCL3 is a novel adipokine that facilitates adipogenesis in an autocrine and/or a paracrine manner through induction of c/ebpb and c/ebpd. CXCL3 and its receptor CXCR2 are overexpressed in prostate cancer cells, prostate epithelial cells and prostate cancer tissues, which may play multiple roles in prostate cancer progression and metastasis.

NCBI Description

This gene encodes a protein that is a member of the CXC subfamily of chemokines. Chemokines, which recruit and activate leukocytes, are classified by function (inflammatory or homeostatic) or by structure. This secretory protein is proposed to bind the G-protein coupled receptor chemokine (C-X-C motif) receptor 2 to recruit neutrophils. [provided by RefSeq, May 2013]

Uniprot Description

CXCL1: Has chemotactic activity for neutrophils. May play a role in inflammation and exerts its effects on endothelial cells in an autocrine fashion. In vitro, the processed forms GRO- alpha(4-73), GRO-alpha(5-73) and GRO-alpha(6-73) show a 30-fold higher chemotactic activity. Belongs to the intercrine alpha (chemokine CxC) family.

Protein type: Secreted; Motility/polarity/chemotaxis; Secreted, signal peptide

Cellular Component: extracellular space; cell; extracellular region; cytosol

Molecular Function: protein binding; chemokine activity; CXCR chemokine receptor binding; cytokine activity

Biological Process: G-protein coupled receptor protein signaling pathway; neutrophil chemotaxis; elevation of cytosolic calcium ion concentration; positive regulation of leukocyte chemotaxis; immune response; response to lipopolysaccharide; chemotaxis; inflammatory response; regulation of cell proliferation

Product Notes

The CXCL3 cxcl3 (Catalog #AAA8122643) is a Recombinant Protein produced from Yeast and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The amino acid sequence is listed below: Ala28-Ser1 00. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "GRO gamma, Recombinant Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
