Related Product Information for CD83 recombinant protein
Description: CD83 Human Recombinant produced in E Coli is a single, non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 148 amino acids (20-144a.a) and having a molecular mass of 16kDa. CD83 is fused to a 23 amino acid His-tag at N-terminus & purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.

Introduction: CD83 is a single-pass type I membrane protein and part of the immunoglobulin superfamily of receptors. CD83 involves in the regulation of antigen presentation. A soluble form of CD83 can bind to dendritic cells and inhibit their maturation. There were 3 transcript variants encoding different isoforms for CD83.

NCBI Description

The protein encoded by this gene is a single-pass type I membrane protein and member of the immunoglobulin superfamily of receptors. The encoded protein may be involved in the regulation of antigen presentation. A soluble form of this protein can bind to dendritic cells and inhibit their maturation. Three transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Oct 2011]
