IL1RL2 blocking peptide

IL1RL2 Antibody (Center) Blocking peptide

Gene Names
IL1RL2; IL-36R; IL1RRP2; IL-1Rrp2; IL1R-rp2
Synonyms
IL1RL2; IL1RL2 Antibody (Center) Blocking peptide; Interleukin-1 receptor-like 2; IL-36 receptor; IL-36R; Interleukin-1 receptor-related protein 2; IL-1Rrp2; IL1R-rp2; IL1RRP2; IL1RL2 blocking peptide
Ordering
Specificity
The synthetic peptide sequence used to generate the antibody was selected from the Center region of IL1RL2. A 10 to 100 fold molar excess to antibody is recommended. Precise conditions should be optimized for a particular assay.
Form/Format
Synthetic peptide was lyophilized with 100% acetonitrile and is supplied as a powder. Reconstitute with 0.1 ml DI water for a final concentration of 1 mg/ml.
Sequence Length
575
Cellular Location
Membrane; Single-pass type I membrane protein
Tissue Location
Expressed in synovial fibroblasts and articular chondrocytes. Expressed in keratinocytes and monocyte- derived dendritic cells. Expressed in monocytes and myeloid dendritic cells; at protein level.
Preparation and Storage
Maintain refrigerated at 2-8 degree C for up to 6 months. For long term storage store at -20 degree C.
Related Product Information for IL1RL2 blocking peptide
Receptor for interleukin-36 (IL36A, IL36B and IL36G). After binding to interleukin-36 associates with the coreceptor IL1RAP to form the interleukin-36 receptor complex which mediates interleukin-36-dependent activation of NF-kappa-B, MAPK and other pathways (By similarity). The IL-36 signaling system is thought to be present in epithelial barriers and to take part in local inflammatory response; it is similar to the IL-1 system. Seems to be involved in skin inflammatory response by induction of the IL- 23/IL-17/IL-22 pathway.

NCBI Description

The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the interleukin 1 receptor family. An experiment with transient gene expression demonstrated that this receptor was incapable of binding to interleukin 1 alpha and interleukin 1 beta with high affinity. This gene and four other interleukin 1 receptor family genes, including interleukin 1 receptor, type I (IL1R1), interleukin 1 receptor, type II (IL1R2), interleukin 1 receptor-like 1 (IL1RL1), and interleukin 18 receptor 1 (IL18R1), form a cytokine receptor gene cluster in a region mapped to chromosome 2q12. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

Uniprot Description

IL1RL2: Receptor for interleukin 1 family member 9 (IL1F9). Binding to the agonist leads to the activation of NF-kappa-B. Belongs to the interleukin-1 receptor family.

Protein type: Membrane protein, integral

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 2q12

Cellular Component: integral to plasma membrane; plasma membrane

Molecular Function: interleukin-1 receptor activity

Biological Process: cellular defense response; signal transduction

Product Notes

The IL1RL2 il1rl2 (Catalog #AAA9219872) is a Blocking Peptide and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "IL1RL2, Blocking Peptide" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
