FRK blocking peptide

FRK Antibody (N-term) Blocking Peptide

Gene Names
FRK; GTK; RAK; PTK5
Synonyms
FRK; FRK Antibody (N-term) Blocking Peptide; Tyrosine-protein kinase FRK; FYN-related kinase; Nuclear tyrosine protein kinase RAK; Protein-tyrosine kinase 5; PTK5; RAK; FRK blocking peptide
Ordering
Specificity
The synthetic peptide sequence used to generate the antibody was selected from the N-term region of human FRK. A 10 to 100 fold molar excess to antibody is recommended. Precise conditions should be optimized for a particular assay.
Form/Format
The synthetic peptide was lyophilized with 100% acetonitrile and is supplied as a powder. Reconstitute with 0.1 ml deionized water for a final concentration of 1 mg/ml.
Sequence Length
505
Cellular Location
Cytoplasm. Nucleus. Note: Predominantly found in the nucleus, with a small fraction found in the cell periphery
Tissue Location
Predominantly expressed in epithelial derived cell lines and tissues, especially normal liver, kidney, breast and colon.
Preparation and Storage
Maintain refrigerated at 2-8 degree C for up to 6 months. For long term storage store at -20 degree C.
Related Product Information for FRK blocking peptide
Non-receptor tyrosine-protein kinase that negatively regulates cell proliferation. Positively regulates PTEN protein stability through phosphorylation of PTEN on 'Tyr-336', which in turn prevents its ubiquitination and degradation, possibly by reducing its binding to NEDD4. May function as a tumor suppressor.

Product Notes

The FRK frk (Catalog #AAA9227185) is a Blocking Peptide and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "FRK, Blocking Peptide" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
