NCBI Description

This gene encodes a protein that interacts with the C-terminal tail of cannabinoid receptor 1. Two transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been described for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2013]

Uniprot Description

CNRIP1: Isoform 1 suppresses cannabinoid receptor CNR1-mediated tonic inhibition of voltage-gated calcium channels. Isoform 2 does not have this effect. Belongs to the CNRIP family. 2 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Protein type: Unknown function

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 2p14

Product Notes

The CNRIP1 cnrip1 (Catalog #AAA154075) is a Blocking Peptide and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. AAA Biotech's CNRIP1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Blocking (BL). CNRIP1 peptide is used for blocking the activity of CNRIP1 antibody. It usually blocks the antibody activity completely in Western blot by incubating the peptide with equal volume of antibody for 30 min at 37 degree C. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the CNRIP1 cnrip1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "CNRIP1, Blocking Peptide" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
