TZ9 is a triazine analogue inhibitor of human E2 ubiquitin-conjugating enzyme Rad6B/HHR6B. It docks to the Rad6B catalytic site. It inhibits Rad6B-induced histone H2A ubiquitination, downregulates intracellular beta-catenin, induces G2-M arrest and apoptosis of human breast cancer MDA-MB-231 cells. It inhibits proliferation of MDA-MB-231 cells with an IC50 of 6 uM.
