Specificity

Lyophilized or crystallized sodium salt. Other salt forms are available upon request. Equal concentrations of 2'-Fluo-AHC-cAMPcan appear very different in volume due to sensitivity of the lyophilized form to humidity. The compound can even contract to small volume droplets. Normally the product is located in the conical bottom of the tube. Micromolar quantities are determined by UV/VIS at λ_max.

Properties

Fluorescent, PKA-inactive analogue of cyclic AMP with λ_exc 494nm and λ 517nm. 2'-Fluo-AHC-cAMPcan be used as a substrate inphosphodiesterase studies.

Solubility

2'-Fluo-AHC-cAMP is solubleto at least 1mM in water. In case higher concentrations are required it could be advisable to add some DMSO or methanol to increase solubility. Please rinse tube walls carefully and preferably use ultrasonic or vortex to achieve total and uniform mixing. When opening the tube please make sure that no substance is lost within the cap.

Preparation and Storage

Fluo-AHC-cAMP is chemically rather stableand does not need special care during handling or shipment. Nevertheless, the compound should be protected from light and stored in the freezer, for longer storage periods preferably in freeze-dried form.
