Rat Sarcoplasmic/endoplasmic reticulum calcium ATPase 1 ELISA Kit | Atp2a1 elisa kit
Rat Sarcoplasmic/endoplasmic reticulum calcium ATPase 1 ELISA Kit
Principle of the Assay: The microtiter plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to target antigen. Standards or samples are then added to the appropriate microtiter plate wells with a biotin-conjugated antibody preparation specific for target antigen and then avidin conjugated to Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to each microplate well and incubated. Then a TMB substrate solution is added to each well. Only those wells that contain target antigen, biotin-conjugated antibody and enzyme-conjugated Avidin will exhibit a change in color. The enzyme-substrate reaction is terminated by the addition of a sulphuric acid solution and the color change is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450 nm +/- 2 nm. The concentration of target antigen in the samples is then determined by comparing the O.D. of the samples to the standard curve.

catalyzes ATP hydrolysis and calcium ion transport [RGD, Feb 2006]
Uniprot Description
ATP2A1: This magnesium-dependent enzyme catalyzes the hydrolysis of ATP coupled with the translocation of calcium from the cytosol to the sarcoplasmic reticulum lumen. Contributes to calcium sequestration involved in muscular excitation/contraction. Associated with sarcolipin (SLN) and phospholamban (PLN). Increased contractile activity leads to a decrease in SERCA1 expression, while decreased contractile activity leads to an increase in SERCA1 expression. Skeletal muscle, fast twitch muscle (type II) fibers. Reversibly inhibited by phospholamban (PLN) at low calcium concentrations. Dephosphorylated PLN decreases the apparent affinity of the ATPase for calcium. This inhibition is regulated by the phosphorylation of PLN. Belongs to the cation transport ATPase (P-type) (TC 3.A.3) family. Type IIA subfamily. 2 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Product Notes
The Rat Atp2a1 atp2a1 (Catalog #AAA289072) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA289072 ELISA Kit recognizes Rat Atp2a1. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Sarcoplasmic/endoplasmic reticulum calcium ATPase 1, ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
