Reconstitution
Reconstitute in sterile ddH2O or 1mM sodium bicarbonate buffer, pH 9, at twice the desired final protein concentration. The protein may then be diluted with an equal volume of 2X buffer to produce a stock solution. Upon standing some turbidity may develop in certain buffers. Centrifugation will usually yield a clear solution with negligible loss of streptavidin.
Preparation and Storage
Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C. Stable for 12 months at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile buffer or ddH2O. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
