Preparation and Storage
Prior to reconstitution store at 4 degree C. Following reconstitution store at -20 degree C. This product should be stored undiluted. Storage in frost-free freezers is not recommended. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing as this may denature the protein. Should this product contain a precipitate we recommend microcentrifugation before use.
Shelf Life: 3 months from date of reconstitution.
Related Product Information for G-CSF active protein
Recombinant Human G-CSF is purified E Coli expressed recombinant human granulocyte colony stimulating factor (G-CSF). Granulocyte CSF is produced by monocytes and fibroblasts. It stimulates granulocyte colony formation, activates neutrophils and differentiates certain myeloid leukemic cells. Human and Murine G-CSF share approximately 75% amino acid sequence homology and have biological cross-reactivity.

NCBI Description

The protein encoded by this gene is a cytokine that controls the production, differentiation, and function of granulocytes. The active protein is found extracellularly. Alternatively spliced transcript variants have been described for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, May 2010]

Uniprot Description

G-CSF: Granulocyte/macrophage colony-stimulating factors are cytokines that act in hematopoiesis by controlling the production, differentiation, and function of 2 related white cell populations of the blood, the granulocytes and the monocytes-macrophages. This CSF induces granulocytes. Belongs to the IL-6 superfamily. 2 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Protein type: Cell cycle regulation; Cytokine; Secreted; Secreted, signal peptide

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 17q11.2-q12

Cellular Component: extracellular space

Molecular Function: enzyme binding; growth factor activity; cytokine activity; granulocyte colony-stimulating factor receptor binding

Biological Process: positive regulation of protein binding; granulocyte differentiation; positive regulation of myeloid cell differentiation; cytokine and chemokine mediated signaling pathway; multicellular organismal development; positive regulation of peptidyl-serine phosphorylation; positive regulation of phosphoinositide 3-kinase cascade; positive regulation of protein kinase B signaling cascade; positive regulation of peptidyl-tyrosine phosphorylation; positive regulation of actin filament polymerization; positive regulation of cell proliferation; positive regulation of transcription factor import into nucleus; immune response; positive regulation of transcription from RNA polymerase II promoter

Product Notes

The G-CSF csf3 (Catalog #AAA232275) is an Active Protein and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. AAA Biotech's G-CSF can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Functional Assays (FN). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the G-CSF csf3 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "G-CSF, Active Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
