Human phosphatidylinositol glycan anchor biosynthesis, class Z ELISA Kit | PIGZ elisa kit
Human GPI mannosyltransferase 4, PIGZ ELISA Kit
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
The glycosylphosphatidylinositol (GPI) anchor is a glycolipid found on many blood cells that serves to anchor proteins to the cell surface. This gene encodes a protein that is localized to the endoplasmic reticulum, and is involved in GPI anchor biosynthesis. As shown for the yeast homolog, which is a member of a family of dolichol-phosphate-mannose (Dol-P-Man)-dependent mannosyltransferases, this protein can also add a side-branching fourth mannose to GPI precursors during the assembly of GPI anchors. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
Uniprot Description
PIGZ: Mannosyltransferase involved in glycosylphosphatidylinositol-anchor biosynthesis. Transfers a fourth mannose to some trimannosyl-GPIs during GPI precursor assembly. The presence of a fourth mannose in GPI is facultative and only scarcely detected, suggesting that it only exists in some tissues. Belongs to the glycosyltransferase 22 family. PIGZ subfamily.

Product Notes
The Human PIGZ pigz (Catalog #AAA9334388) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA9334388 ELISA Kit recognizes Human PIGZ. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "phosphatidylinositol glycan anchor biosynthesis, class Z, ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
