PLCL1 blocking peptide

PLCL1 Antibody (N-term) Blocking Peptide

Gene Names
PLCL1; PLCE; PLCL; PRIP; PLDL1; PPP1R127
Synonyms
PLCL1; PLCL1 Antibody (N-term) Blocking Peptide; Inactive phospholipase C-like protein 1; PLC-L1; Phospholipase C-deleted in lung carcinoma; Phospholipase C-related but catalytically inactive protein; PRIP; PLCL1 blocking peptide
Ordering
Specificity
The synthetic peptide sequence used to generate the antibody was selected from the N-term region of human PLCL1. A 10 to 100 fold molar excess to antibody is recommended. Precise conditions should be optimized for a particular assay.
Form/Format
Synthetic peptide was lyophilized with 100% acetonitrile and is supplied as a powder. Reconstitute with 0.1 ml DI water for a final concentration of 1 mg/ml.
Sequence Length
1095
Cellular Location
Cytoplasm.
Tissue Location
Expressed in a variety of fetal and adult organs including brain, lung and kidney. Its expression was greatly reduced in small and non-small cell lung carcinoma Isoform 1 is predominantly expressed in brain
Preparation and Storage
Maintain refrigerated at 2-8 degree C for up to 6 months. For long term storage store at -20 degree C.
Related Product Information for PLCL1 blocking peptide
Involved in an inositol phospholipid-based intracellular signaling cascade. Shows no PLC activity to phosphatidylinositol 4,5-bisphosphate and phosphatidylinositol. Component in the phospho-dependent endocytosis process of GABA A receptor (By similarity). Regulates the turnover of receptors and thus contributes to the maintenance of GABA-mediated synaptic inhibition. Its aberrant expression could contribute to the genesis and progression of lung carcinoma. Acts as a inhibitor of PPP1C.

Uniprot Description

PLCL1: a protein closely related to phospholipase C-d1 (PLC-d1) but catalytically inactive. First identified as a novel inositol 1,4,5-trisphosphate binding protein. Has a number of binding partners including protein phosphatase (PP1 and 2A), GABA(A) receptor associated protein, and the beta subunits of GABA(A) receptors, in addition to inositol 1,4,5-trisphosphate. Plays an important role in controlling the dynamics of GABA(A) receptor phosphorylation through PP1 binding and, therefore, the efficacy of synaptic inhibition mediated by these receptors.

Protein type: Phospholipase

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 2q33

Molecular Function: phospholipase C activity

Product Notes

The PLCL1 plcl1 (Catalog #AAA9227886) is a Blocking Peptide and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "PLCL1, Blocking Peptide" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
