Related Product Information for anti-PLCL1 antibody
PLCL1 is an inositol phospholipid-based intracellular signaling cascade. Shows no PLC activity to phosphatidylinositol 4,5-bisphosphate and sphatidylinositol. Component in the phospho-dependent endocytosis process of GABA A receptor (By similarity). Regulates the turnover of receptors and thus contributes to the maintenance of GABA-mediated synaptic inhibition. Its aberrant expression could contribute to the genesis and progression of lung carcinoma. Acts as a nhibitor of PPP1C.

Uniprot Description

PLCL1: a protein closely related to phospholipase C-d1 (PLC-d1) but catalytically inactive. First identified as a novel inositol 1,4,5-trisphosphate binding protein. Has a number of binding partners including protein phosphatase (PP1 and 2A), GABA(A) receptor associated protein, and the beta subunits of GABA(A) receptors, in addition to inositol 1,4,5-trisphosphate. Plays an important role in controlling the dynamics of GABA(A) receptor phosphorylation through PP1 binding and, therefore, the efficacy of synaptic inhibition mediated by these receptors.

Protein type: Phospholipase

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 2q33

Cellular Component: cytoplasm; plasma membrane

Molecular Function: signal transducer activity; GABA receptor binding; phosphoinositide phospholipase C activity; phospholipase C activity

Biological Process: regulation of peptidyl-serine phosphorylation; lipid metabolic process; regulation of synaptic transmission, GABAergic; gamma-aminobutyric acid signaling pathway

Product Notes

The PLCL1 plcl1 (Catalog #AAA9214916) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The immunogen sequence is 149-176. The PLCL1 Antibody (N-term) reacts with Human (Predicted Reactivity: Mouse, Rat) and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's PLCL1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), ELISA (EIA), Flow Cytometry (FC/FACS). WB~~1:1000. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the PLCL1 plcl1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "PLCL1, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
