KIF16B blocking peptide
KIF16b Antibody Blocking peptide
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
The protein encoded by this gene is a kinesin-like protein that may be involved in intracellular trafficking. Three transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Dec 2010]
Uniprot Description
KIF16B: Plus end-directed microtubule-dependent motor protein involved in endosome transport and receptor recycling and degradation. Regulates the plus end motility of early endosomes and the balance between recycling and degradation of receptors such as EGF receptor (EGFR) and FGF receptor (FGFR). Regulates the Golgi to endosome transport of FGFR-containing vesicles during early development, a key process for developing basement membrane and epiblast and primitive endoderm lineages during early postimplantation development. Belongs to the kinesin-like protein family. 5 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.
Protein type: Microtubule-binding; Motor

Product Notes
The KIF16B kif16b (Catalog #AAA9221301) is a Blocking Peptide and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "KIF16b, Blocking Peptide" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
