HTRA3 blocking peptide

HtrA3 Antibody (N-term) Blocking Peptide

Gene Names
HTRA3; Prsp; Tasp
Synonyms
HtrA3; HtrA3 Antibody (N-term) Blocking Peptide; Serine protease HTRA3; 3421-; High-temperature requirement factor A3; Pregnancy-related serine protease; HTRA3; PRSP; HTRA3 blocking peptide
Ordering
Specificity
The synthetic peptide sequence used to generate the antibody was selected from the N-term region of human HtrA3. A 10 to 100 fold molar excess to antibody is recommended. Precise conditions should be optimized for a particular assay.
Form/Format
The synthetic peptide was lyophilized with 100% acetonitrile and is supplied as a powder. Reconstitute with 0.1 ml deionized water for a final concentration of 1 mg/ml.
Sequence Length
453
Cellular Location
Secreted. Note: Secretion increased during decidualization of endometrial stromal cells
Tissue Location
Widely expressed, with highest levels in both adult and fetal heart, ovary, uterus placenta, and bladder. In the endometrium, expressed in epithelial glands and the stroma. Also present in leukocytes. Isoform 1 is predominant in heart and skeletal muscle, whereas isoform 2 is predominant in placenta and kidney.
Preparation and Storage
Maintain refrigerated at 2-8 degree C for up to 6 months. For long term storage store at -20 degree C.
Related Product Information for HTRA3 blocking peptide
Serine protease that cleaves beta-casein/CSN2 as well as several extracellular matrix (ECM) proteoglycans such as decorin/DCN, biglycan/BGN and fibronectin/FN1. Inhibits signaling mediated by TGF-beta family proteins possibly indirectly by degradation of these ECM proteoglycans (By similarity). May act as a tumor suppressor. Negatively regulates, in vitro, trophoblast invasion during placental development and may be involved in the development of the placenta in vivo. May also have a role in ovarian development, granulosa cell differentiation and luteinization.

Uniprot Description

HTRA3: Serine protease that cleaves beta-casein/CSN2 as well as several extracellular matrix (ECM) proteoglycans such as decorin/DCN, biglycan/BGN and fibronectin/FN1. Inhibits signaling mediated by TGF-beta family proteins possibly indirectly by degradation of these ECM proteoglycans. May act as a tumor suppressor. Negatively regulates, in vitro, trophoblast invasion during placental development and may be involved in the development of the placenta in vivo. May also have a role in ovarian development, granulosa cell differentiation and luteinization. Belongs to the peptidase S1B family. 2 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Product Notes

The HTRA3 htra3 (Catalog #AAA9219843) is a Blocking Peptide and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "HtrA3, Blocking Peptide" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
