Related Product Information for anti-Myocd antibody
Smooth muscle cells (SM) and cardiac muscle cells- specific transcriptional factor which uses the canonical single or multiple CArG boxes DNA sequence. Acts as a cofactor of serum response factor (SRF) with the potential to modulate SRF-target genes. Plays a crucial role in cardiogenesis and differentiation of the smooth muscle cell lineage (myogenesis). Isoform 1 mediates the cardiac transcription factor MEF2C-dependent transcription. Isoform 1 and isoform 3 are more active than isoform 2 and isoform 4 in stimulating cardiac muscle promoters.

Uniprot Description

myocardin: Smooth muscle cells (SM) and cardiac muscle cells- specific transcriptional factor which uses the canonical single or multiple CArG boxes DNA sequence. Acts as a cofactor of serum response factor (SRF) with the potential to modulate SRF-target genes. Plays a crucial role in cardiogenesis and differentiation of the smooth muscle cell lineage (myogenesis). 3 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Product Notes

The Myocd myocd (Catalog #AAA9203332) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Mouse Myocd Antibody (C-term) reacts with Mouse (Predicted Reactivity: Human, Pig, Rat) and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's Myocd can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), ELISA (EIA). WB~~1:1000. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the Myocd myocd for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Myocd, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
