NCBI Description

This gene encodes a multi-pass membrane protein containing two RING-type and one IBR-type zinc finger motifs. The encoded protin is an E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase that plays a role in the cytotoxic effects of natural killer (NK) cells. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants. There are pseudogenes for this gene on chromosomes X and Y in a possible pseudoautosomal region. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2014]

Uniprot Description

E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase which accepts ubiquitin from E2 ubiquitin-conjugating enzymes UBE2L3 and UBE2L6 in the form of a thioester and then directly transfers the ubiquitin to targeted substrates, such as UCKL1 (PubMed:16709802, PubMed:27485036). Involved in the cytolytic activity of natural killer cells and cytotoxic T-cells (PubMed:10438909). Protects against staurosporin-induced cell death (PubMed:27485036).

Product Notes

The RNF19B rnf19b (Catalog #AAA8507564) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The RNF19B Antibody (Rabbit Polyclonal) reacts with Human Predicted: Rat, Mouse and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's RNF19B can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EIA), Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC). ELISA: 1:20,000-1:80,000 WB: 1:200-1:1,000 IHC: 1:100-1:500. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the RNF19B rnf19b for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "RNF19B, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
