Related Product Information for LRIG3 elisa kit
Principle of the Assay: The Human LRIG3 ELISA (Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay) kit is an in vitro enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay for the quantitative measurement of Human LRIG3 in Cell Culture Supernates, Serum, Plasma. This assay employs an antibody specific for Human LRIG3 coated on a 96-well plate. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells and LRIG3 present in a sample is bound to the wells by the immobilized antibody. The wells are washed and biotinylated anti-Human LRIG3 antibody is added. After washing away unbound biotinylated antibody, HRP-conjugated streptavidin is pipetted to the wells. The wells are again washed, a TMB substrate solution is added to the wells and color develops in proportion to the amount of LRIG3 bound. The Stop Solution changes the color from blue to yellow, and the intensity of the color is measured at 450 nm.

Background: LRIG3 is a 1,119-amino acid protein that contains a signal peptide. This gene is mapped to chromosome 12q13.2. Northern blot analysis detected a 5.1-kb LRIG3 transcript in all tissues analyzed. Quantitative RT-PCR detected highest expression in stomach and lowest expression in blood. And quantitative RT-PCR of mouse tissues revealed ubiquitous expression, but the pattern of expression differed from that in human tissues. LRIG3 may play a role in craniofacial and inner ear morphogenesis during embryonic development. In addition, it may act within the otic vesicle epithelium to control formation of the lateral semicircular canal in the inner ear, possibly by restricting the expression of NTN1.

Product Notes

The Human LRIG3 lrig3 (Catalog #AAA8248376) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA8248376 ELISA Kit recognizes Human LRIG3. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "LRIG3, ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
