Applicable Applications for ZRSR2 sirna
RNA Interference (RNAi)
Quality Control
Oligonucleotide synthesis is monitored base by base through trityl analysis to ensure appropriate coupling efficiency. The oligo is subsequently purified by affinity-solid phase extraction. The annealed RNA duplex is further analyzed by mass spectrometry to verify the exact composition of the duplex. Each lot is compared to the previous lot by mass spectrometry to ensure maximum lot-to-lot consistency.
Directions for Use
We recommends transfection with 100 nM siRNA 48 to 72 hours prior to cell lysis. Before resuspending, briefly centrifuge the tube to ensure the lyophilized siRNA is at the bottom of the tube. Resuspend the siRNA oligos to an appropriate concentration with DEPC water. For each vial, suitable for 250 transfections in 24 well plate (20 pmol for each well).
Components
We offer pre-designed sets of 3 different target-specific siRNA oligo duplexes of human ZRSR2 gene. Each vial contains 5 nmol of lyophilized siRNA. The duplexes can be transfected individually or pooled together to achieve knockdown of the target gene, which is most commonly assessed by qPCR or western blot. Our siRNA oligos are also chemically modified (2'-OMe) at no extra charge for increased stability and enhanced knockdown in vitro and in vivo.
Preparation and Storage
Shipped at 4 degree C. Store at -20 degree C for one year.

NCBI Description

This gene encodes an essential splicing factor. The encoded protein associates with the U2 auxiliary factor heterodimer, which is required for the recognition of a functional 3' splice site in pre-mRNA splicing, and may play a role in network interactions during spliceosome assembly. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

Uniprot Description

ZRSR2: Pre-mRNA-binding protein required for splicing of both U2- and U12-type introns. Selectively interacts with the 3'-splice site of U2- and U12-type pre-mRNAs and promotes different steps in U2 and U12 intron splicing. Recruited to U12 pre-mRNAs in an ATP- dependent manner and is required for assembly of the prespliceosome, a precursor to other spliceosomal complexes. For U2-type introns, it is selectively and specifically required for the second step of splicing.

Protein type: RNA splicing

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: Xp22.1

Cellular Component: U12-dependent spliceosome

Molecular Function: protein binding; metal ion binding; nucleotide binding; pre-mRNA 3'-splice site binding

Biological Process: nuclear mRNA splicing, via spliceosome; RNA splicing; spliceosome assembly

Product Notes

The ZRSR2 zrsr2 (Catalog #AAA8201375) is a siRNA produced from Synthetic and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The ZRSR2 siRNA (Human) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's ZRSR2 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, RNA Interference (RNAi). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the ZRSR2 zrsr2 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "ZRSR2, siRNA" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
