NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
potential transmembrane protein serine kinase that acts as an activin receptor [RGD, Feb 2006]
Uniprot Description
ALK2: On ligand binding, forms a receptor complex consisting of two type II and two type I transmembrane serine/threonine kinases. Type II receptors phosphorylate and activate type I receptors which autophosphorylate, then bind and activate SMAD transcriptional regulators. Receptor for activin. May be involved for left-right pattern formation during embryogenesis. Interacts with FKBP1A. Interacts with FCHO1. Expressed in normal parenchymal cells, endothelial cells, fibroblasts and tumor-derived epithelial cells. Belongs to the protein kinase superfamily. TKL Ser/Thr protein kinase family. TGFB receptor subfamily.
Protein type: EC 2.7.11.30; Kinase, protein; Membrane protein, integral; Protein kinase, Ser/Thr (receptor); Protein kinase, TKL; STKR family; TKL group; Type1 subfamily

Product Notes
The ACVR1 acvr1 (Catalog #AAA8117402) is a Cell Lysate produced from HEK293 Cells and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The immunogen sequence is 344aa. AAA Biotech's ACVR1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB). WB: Use at an assay dependent dilution. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the ACVR1 acvr1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. The amino acid sequence is listed below: Met1-Glu12 3. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "ACVR1, Cell Lysate" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
