Related Product Information for ANP32B active protein
APRIL (a proliferation-inducing Ligand), also known as TNFSF13, is a type II membrane protein belonging to the TNF Ligand family. Although low levels of APRIL are found in normal tissues, it is abundantly expressed in tumor cells. Recombinant soluble APRIL stimulates proliferation in Raji B cells, Jurkat T cells and MCF-7 carcinoma cells. Both APRIL and BAFF (BLyS) mediate their distinct biological roles through two receptors, TACI and BCMA. Recombinant Murine APRIL is a soluble 21.9kD protein, consisting of 192 amino acid residues.

Uniprot Description

Function: Multifunctional protein working as a cell cycle progression factor as well as a cell survival factor. Required for the progression from the G1 to the S phase. Anti-apoptotic protein which functions as a caspase-3 inhibitor. Has no phosphatase 2A (PP2A) inhibitor activity

By similarity. Exhibits histone chaperone properties, stimulating core histones to assemble into a nucleosome. Ref.15

Subunit structure: Monomer. Interacts with histones H3 and H4. Ref.15

Subcellular location: Isoform 1: Nucleus. Note: Accumulates in the nuclei at the S phase

By similarity.Isoform 2: Cytoplasm. Note: Lacks a nuclear localization signal.

Tissue specificity: Expressed in heart, lung, pancreas, prostate and in spleen, thymus and placenta. Ref.3

Domain: Histone binding is mediated by the concave surface of the LRR region.

Post-translational modification: Some glutamate residues are glycylated by TTLL8. This modification occurs exclusively on glutamate residues and results in a glycine chain on the gamma-carboxyl group

By similarity.

Sequence similarities: Belongs to the ANP32 family.Contains 4 LRR (leucine-rich) repeats.Contains 1 LRRCT domain.

Product Notes

The ANP32B anp32b (Catalog #AAA650656) is an Active Protein and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The amino acid sequence is listed below: MRREVSRLQR SGGPSQKQGE RPWQSLWEQS PDVLEAWKDG AKSRRRRAVL TQKHKKKHSV LHLVPVNITS KDSDVTEVMW QPVLRRGRGL EAQGDIVRVW DTGIYLLYSQ VLFHDVTFTM GQVVSREGQG RRETLFRCIR SMPSDPDRAY NSCYSAGVFH LHQGDIITVK IPRANAKLSL SPHGTFLGFV KL. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "APRIL, Active Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
