Rabbit anti-Human, Mouse Hox A5 Polyclonal Antibody | anti-HOXA5 antibody
Hox A5, CT (Homeobox A5, Homeobox Protein Hox-A5, HOXA5, HOX1, HOX1.3, Homeobox Protein Hox-1C, HOX1C, MGC9376) (MaxLight 550)
FLISA: 1:1,000
Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
Western Blot (WB)
(Western blot analysis of HOXA5 antibody (C-term E211) in mouse kidney tissue lysates (35ug/lane). HOXA5 (arrow) was detected using the purified Pab.)
Flow Cytometry (FC/FACS)
(Flow cytometric analysis of 293 cells using HOXA5 Antibody (C-term E211)(bottom histogram) compared to a negative control cell (top histogram). FITC-conjugated goat-anti-rabbit secondary antibodies were used for the analysis.)
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
In vertebrates, the genes encoding the class of transcription factors called homeobox genes are found in clusters named A, B, C, and D on four separate chromosomes. Expression of these proteins is spatially and temporally regulated during embryonic development. This gene is part of the A cluster on chromosome 7 and encodes a DNA-binding transcription factor which may regulate gene expression, morphogenesis, and differentiation. Methylation of this gene may result in the loss of its expression and, since the encoded protein upregulates the tumor suppressor p53, this protein may play an important role in tumorigenesis. Uniprot Description
HOXA5: Sequence-specific transcription factor which is part of a developmental regulatory system that provides cells with specific positional identities on the anterior-posterior axis. Also binds to its own promoter. Binds specifically to the motif 5'-CYYNATTA[TG]Y-3'. Belongs to the Antp homeobox family.
Protein type: DNA-binding
Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 7p15.2
Cellular Component: nucleus
Molecular Function: protein binding; DNA binding; transcription factor activity
Biological Process: cell migration; negative regulation of erythrocyte differentiation; positive regulation of myeloid cell differentiation; transcription, DNA-dependent; positive regulation of apoptosis; multicellular organism growth; embryonic skeletal morphogenesis; anterior/posterior pattern formation; regulation of mammary gland epithelial cell proliferation; respiratory system process; negative regulation of angiogenesis; thyroid gland development; positive regulation of transcription from RNA polymerase II promoter; alveolus development

The HOXA5 hoxa5 (Catalog #AAA6481114) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Hox A5, CT (Homeobox A5, Homeobox Protein Hox-A5, HOXA5, HOX1, HOX1.3, Homeobox Protein Hox-1C, HOX1C, MGC9376) (MaxLight 550) reacts with Human, Mouse and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's Hox A5 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), FLISA. WB: 1:50-1:100 FLISA: 1:1,000 Applications are based on unconjugated antibody. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the HOXA5 hoxa5 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Hox A5, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
