NCBI Description

This gene encodes a cell surface receptor expressed on natural killer (NK) cells (and some T cells) that mediate non-major histocompatibility complex (MHC) restricted killing. The interaction between NK-cell and target cells via this receptor is thought to modulate NK-cell cytolytic activity. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene.

Uniprot Description

CD244: Modulate other receptor-ligand interactions to enhance leukocyte activation. 4 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Protein type: Receptor, misc.; Membrane protein, integral

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 1q23.3

Cellular Component: integral to membrane; plasma membrane; external side of plasma membrane

Molecular Function: protein binding; receptor activity

Biological Process: blood coagulation; signal transduction; leukocyte migration

Product Notes

The CD244 (Catalog #AAA632740) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The NKR2B4 (Natural Killer Cell Receptor 2B4, NK Cell Type I Receptor Protein 2B4, 2B4, CD244 Molecule Natural Killer Cell Receptor 2B4, h2B4, CD244, NK Cell Activation Inducing Ligand, NAIL, Nmrk, SLAMF4) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's NKR2B4 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Immunoprecipitation (IP), Flow Cytometry (FC/FACS). Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry and Immunoprecipitation. Dilution: Flow Cytometry: 1:50-1:200; 10ul labels 10e6 cells in 100ul. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the CD244 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "NKR2B4, Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
