Related Product Information for anti-C1QTNF6 antibody
Adipose tissue of an organism plays a major role in regulating physiologic and pathologic processes such as metabolism and immunity by producing and secreting a
variety of bioactive molecules termed adipokines (reviewed in 1). One highly conserved family of adipokines is adiponectin/ACRP30 and its structural and functional paralogs, the C1q/tumor necrosis factor- - related proteins (CTRPs) 1-7 (2). Unlike adiponectin, which is expressed exclusively by differentiated adipocytes, the CTRPs are expressed in a wide variety of
tissues (3). These proteins are thought to act mainly on liver and muscle tissue to control glucose and lipid metabolism. An analysis of the crystal structure of adiponectin revealed a structural and evolutionary link between TNF and C1q-containing proteins, suggesting that these proteins arose from a common ancestral innate immunity gene (4). CTRP6 contains at least 4
glycosylation motifs, suggesting that CTRP6 may be highly post-translationally modified (3).

Product Notes

The C1QTNF6 dj151b14.4 (Catalog #AAA616438) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The CTRP6, CT (C1q Tumor Necrosis Factor alpha Related Protein 6) reacts with Human, Mouse and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's CTRP6 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB). Suitable for use in Western Blot. Dilution: Western Blot: 1ug'ml. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the C1QTNF6 dj151b14.4 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "CTRP6, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
