Western Blot: Use at 1:500 to 1:1000 dilution. However, the investigator should determine the optimal dilution for a specific application such as immunohistochemistry.
Preparation and Storage
May be stored at 4 degree C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, aliquot and add glycerol (40-50%). Store at -20 degree C or colder. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20 degree C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.

Related Product Information for anti-FBXO17 antibody
F-box proteins, a critical component of the evolutionary conserved ubiquitin-protein ligase complex SCF (Skp1/Cdc53-Cullin1/F-box), recruit substrates for ubiquitination and consequent degradation through their specific protein-protein interaction domains. Novel human F-box proteins named FBG1, FBG2, FBG3, FBG4 and FBG5 constitute a third subfamily of mammalian F-box proteins. FBG genes are expressed in a limited number of human tissues including kidney, liver, brain and muscle tissues.

NCBI Description

This gene encodes a member of the F-box protein family which is characterized by the F-box motif. The F-box proteins constitute one of the four subunits of the ubiquitin protein ligase complex called SCFs (SKP1-cullin-F-box), which function in phosphorylation-dependent ubiquitination. The F-box proteins are divided into 3 classes: Fbws containing WD-40 domains, Fbls containing leucine-rich repeats, and Fbxs containing either different protein-protein interaction modules or no recognizable motifs. The protein encoded by this gene belongs to the Fbxs class and it contains an F-box domain. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2013]

Uniprot Description

FBXO17: Substrate-recognition component of the SCF (SKP1-CUL1-F- box protein)-type E3 ubiquitin ligase complex. Able to recognize and bind denatured glycoproteins, which are modified with complex- type oligosaccharides. Also recognizes sulfated glycans. Does not bind high-mannose glycoproteins.

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 19q13.2

Cellular Component: SCF ubiquitin ligase complex

Molecular Function: protein binding; glycoprotein binding

Product Notes

The FBXO17 fbxo17 (Catalog #AAA611725) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The FBG4 (F-box 4) reacts with Human, Mouse, Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's FBG4 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EL/EIA), Western Blot (WB). Western Blot: Use at 1:500 to 1:1000 dilution. However, the investigator should determine the optimal dilution for a specific application such as immunohistochemistry. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the FBXO17 fbxo17 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "FBG4, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
