Related Product Information for anti-TADA3 antibody
Many DNA-binding transcriptional activator proteins enhance the initiation rate of RNA polymerase II-mediated gene transcription by interacting functionally with the general transcription machinery bound at the basal promoter. Adaptor proteins are usually required for this activation, possibly to acetylate and destabilize nucleosomes, thereby relieving chromatin constraints at the promoter. The protein encoded by this gene is a transcriptional activator adaptor and has been found to be part of the PCAF histone acetylase complex. In addition, it associates with the tumor suppressor protein p53 and is required for full activity of p53 and p53-mediated apoptosis.

NCBI Description

At least four alternatively spliced variants have been found for this gene, but the full-length nature of some variants has not been determined. [provided by RefSeq]

Uniprot Description

TADA3L: Functions as a component of the PCAF complex. The PCAF complex is capable of efficiently acetylating histones in a nucleosomal context. The PCAF complex could be considered as the human version of the yeast SAGA complex. Also known as a coactivator for p53/TP53-dependent transcriptional activation. Component of the ATAC complex, a complex with histone acetyltransferase activity on histones H3 and H4. Belongs to the NGG1 family. 2 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Protein type: Transcription factor; Nuclear receptor co-regulator

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 3p25.3

Cellular Component: nucleoplasm; intracellular; nucleus

Molecular Function: ligand-dependent nuclear receptor binding; protein domain specific binding; protein binding; histone acetyltransferase activity; ligand-dependent nuclear receptor transcription coactivator activity; transcription coactivator activity; transcription factor activity

Biological Process: regulation of transcription from RNA polymerase II promoter; mitosis; regulation of protein amino acid phosphorylation; establishment and/or maintenance of chromatin architecture; regulation of histone deacetylation; estrogen receptor signaling pathway; transcription, DNA-dependent; positive regulation of transcription, DNA-dependent; regulation of protein stability

Product Notes

The TADA3 tada3 (Catalog #AAA601402) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Transcriptional Adaptor 3 (NGG1 Homolog, yeast)-like (TADA3L, ADA3, hADA3, FLJ20221, FLJ21329) reacts with Human, Mouse, Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's Transcriptional Adaptor 3 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EL/EIA), Western Blot (WB), Immunocytochemistry (ICC). Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot and Immunocytochemistry. Dilution: Western Blot: 0.2-2ug/ml Immunocytochemistry: 2-100ug/ml. Immunostaining analysis in HeLa cells. HeLa cells were fixed with 4% paraformaldehyde and permeabilized with 0.1% Triton X-100 in PBS. The cells were immunostained with anti-TADA3L mAb. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the TADA3 tada3 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Transcriptional Adaptor 3, Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
